Meadowbrook Elementary School students and teacher share their impressions of the Ruckus collection and how they use it to enhance learning.

Transcript: We're here in the real world at a local elementary school where students have been using our new Ruckus product. We're going to be meeting with them, as well as their teacher, to hear their impressions about KI's new Ruckus solution. Talk to me about Ruckus. Is this something that you're using now in your classroom? Yeah. Yes. They're comfortable to sit in.
I like that you can move around in there. You don't have to sit in one way. If you can't, like, see stuff, you can sit up here or, if you just want to rest, you can sit like a this. Just like to kneel on it like this. So I like I don't have to make my feet hang off the edges.
Or you could sit like this so you have, like, a little armrest in place to work. And then you could take your iPad here. It's far comfier and you actually have a place to put your arms. We call this the couch. We just move it, like together. You call it the couch? Yeah. So that's something we didn't design for.
That's a new idea. I like that. You just like, move it like this. So three people can sit on it, too. It shows me the relationships that they're building with one another. And that's so important also. And so if they can sit down in a chair and be that close to each other, enjoy, enjoy. Story. It's heartwarming. Like a portable desk.
Like a portable desk. Why does your mind you have a portable desk? Because you can put all your stuff up here. Then you can move all around with it. How come you want to move? Because I can't really sit down for that long. You have a lot of energy don't you. And you like to move around a lot.
Could you do that in your old chair. No. If a child was moving we would or needed to move we would find some alternatives. Maybe putting the, tennis balls, cut a hole in them, put them on the chairs, opposite sides so they could rock a little bit. Nowadays, I am so thrilled that movement is encouraged.
Can you. Have you stacked the chair before? No, but I know you know how. Well, why don't you show me how it stacks? I'd love to see that. Keep.
But make an effort to see those things. Okay. That's pretty amazing. Can you unstack it and bring it back over here?
Was that was that difficult to do for you? Not at all. Not at all. It's not too heavy. It's not too big. In the past, when the children tried to stacking the chairs, they can fall over or, they bumped their heads. How many ways could you set in your old chair? One. One. One way. Show me how you sat in your old chair.
Now show me how you can talk to each other with Ruckus.
Hey Kingston. Hi. Hi. No. With the furniture, it allows the children that opportunity to work in those small groups Really? Help their partners. So if you take a range of chair check, can't go can’t sit. Do you work with. Do you work with partners a lot? Yes. It's fun because you can work with your partner while you're on the chair, and you can roll to a different destination.
We want comfort. We want furniture that moves, that's flexible. And so they come into my classroom and I have the Ruckus chairs, and they can see that I am able to. Set up my classroom or instruct. I have the tools that I need the the tools being the Ruckus furniture to teach the way that I feel children need to be taught.
